Kaadai Fry

INGREDIENTS

Kaadai (Quail) 500gms

Onion 150 gms.

Tomato 150 gms

Green chilli 10 nos.

Ginger 50 gms

Garlic 100 gms.

Chilli powder 1 teaspoon.

Coriander powder 2 teaspoon.

Turmeric powder half teaspoon.

Jeera powder 1/5 teaspoon.

Sombu powder 1.5 teaspoon.

Salt to taste

Refined oil 150ml.

Lemon 1 no.

Curry leaves 1 sprig

Coriander leaves half bunch.

 

METHOD:

Clean, wash and cut the kaadai. Marinate it with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric powder and salt for about 15 minutes. Chop the onion, tomato, green chilli and coriander leaves. Heat oil in the pan and add sombu, curry leaves and chopped onion and sauté till the onion turns brown in colour.

Add green chilli, chopped tomato, all spices, ginger garlic paste, salt and water and make the gravy.

Add the kaadai to this gravy and stir well. Cook till dry. Check the seasoning. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
